I guess I'll throw my hat in the ring to try and counter all of the electro house and dubstep mixes. Edit: Joe is looking good AND HOLY CRAP THE SURFACE MUSIC KIT. I was "meh" about the Surface but that music kit looks amazing! Double Edit: Is there a one remix per contestant rule on Indaba? I also get stems but never enter and I didn't see anything in the T&Cs. Could I flood the contest with like 4 remixes? Maybe I'll do a prog house, electro house, dubstep and something totally different.
Not without using multiple accounts, which I think is against the rules. Once you make a submission, the "submit" button on the contest page disappears and just gives you the option to remove/edit your current entry. You could remove a submission and replace it with another one, but that's about it.
Anyone down to collaborate? Recently got back into production myself. My partner isn't much of a Linkin Park fan and I feel I do better working with others.
I never noticed that the verse 3 gtr riff reappears during the last chorus section. It works so much better there I don't know how much it'll help at this point but I created this thread as a place to put down all of these questions.
1) I'm SO GLAD they put the Vocoder on a separate track. I was hoping it wouldn't be mixed down with the lead vocal. 2) The guitar part is actually pretty good when you can hear it. 3) Holy crap every part is compressed to hell. Even that acoustic guitar track is compressed within an inch of it's life!
I'm gonna make a proper remix but for now, a short acoustic remix I made for fun
Very true. I'm just so used to remix contests giving the unmixed versions for the stems. I know NIN tries to do that as much as possible.
Many actually. It's just not publicly known like an LPA post, but there are a lot of winners announced.
I OFFER YOU GUYS MY E-GUITAR STEM https://soundcloud.com/cypheredm/cypher-a-light-that-never/s-nZrvU G - A# - F - C (repeating)
http://indaba.us/hjau Here's my contest submission. Don't know how to describe it really. Again it's a "schizophrenic" collaboration between my two projects and even though the elements comprising this song are from totally different worlds I decided to give it a go anyways. Hope you enjoy the music. Comments and feedback, as always, are more than welcome
