I just came back from seeing it, here's what I thought about it:

It was fucking hilarious at times however I kinda expected it to be a little more funny than it was. It provided endless laughs throughout however and was a film with good value for money. The downsides were the few disturbing scenes in the film (once you see the film you'll know what I'm talking about) and the length could have been a little longer but all in all it was a great film. However I don't think anyone will fully enjoy this film if they have strong opposing anti-semetic and anti-sexism views but at the end of the day it's all in good humour.

I should be seeing it tonight for free :D

If you have siblings, convince them to work at a movie theater, you get plenty of benefits

Yeah, that was great. The naked hotel room scene, as disgusting as that was, was so fucking funny too, especially when they went into the business meeting.

The wrestling scene was probably the funniest thing I've ever seen in a film, only really beaten by Mel Brooks' governor in Blazing Saddles.
I'll probably go and see it again when fewer people are watching it because there were stretches where I didn't catch anything for a while, due to all the people dying of laughter.

I thought the movie was brilliant, but a bit of a let down to be honest. For starters, I was annoyed that they added a sub-plot to the whole thing. The reason Borat was so funny on Da Ali G Show was because it was about the reaction from the people Borat would interview and his improv in those situations and not necessarily basing it on anything but that. Earlier material showed Borat's genius by using unexpected responses with subtle, informal disturbance to them--they were never flat-out spoken or done. I know I am probably taking it too seriously, but it would have been better without the sub-plot and continuous less oblivious set-ups on Cohen's part. However, at the same time, I have to argue that the UK and US react differently, so maybe the reactions are what differentiated the two.

Despite all this though, I enjoyed the flick. I was a bit disappointed in the film's content, but overall it's given Borat a great final run... Since after all this controversy, we'll probably never see him again. Oh yeah... And the wrestling scene was so gross (as well as any other nude scene in the movie) but oh so funny at the same time...

But I've got to say... The people depicted should be ashamed of themselves as well as any who think like they do. I couldn't believe how many people were willing to beat a man up for simply showing respect and saying hello (kissing on the cheeks). Gah.

i wish i could have recorded the audio of the theatre i was in during borat. I have never hear so much laughing, or wincing. it was funny as hell. I dont really like watching those kinds of movies, but there were a few parts that just made me cry from laughter.

"Hurry children, crush the egg before it hatches!"

after the infamous "hotel wrestle" scene, 2 people behind me began to gag, and both of my parents up and left, along with 8 other people.

heres what i noticed during the movie....

did you notice that the minorites ( blacks, mexicans... ) where the less hostel in the entire movie? mostly it was the white people during the movie that had strong negative reactions to him. I am not rascist ( i am half white/mexican myself ), but it was actually funny to notice this.
