In the same respect though, Walt is too arrogant to understand that if anyone is to blame for every loss he's ever suffered, it's himself. Jesse never wanted this life. Jesse didn't even want to cook originally with Walter. Had Jesse had his way; he would've still been a nobody, a minor drug peddler making small amounts on the street. Walter forced Jesse into a life he never wanted; and ruined everything Jesse ever had in the process, like Walter has managed to do with everyone he's ever involved himself with. Anybody involved with Walter winds up dead, or they have their livelihoods destroyed. Walter is a poison to those he associates himself with.

I have to say...wow. I personally feel like the Jane thing was a good touch. Walt sees this as the last time he will ever talk to Jessie. He is pissed and just lost Hank. He needs some sort of punching bag and telling Jessie about Jane in my opinion was almost a bit of release. Just something to make sure someone is just as misreble as he is.

The whole Holly thing tore away at my heart I was shedding tears when I heard her calling for her mom. This is the absolute best episode of the series.

SPOILERS (my predictions) So we now only have 2 episodes left of the series. The house still needs to be abandoned and vandalized, etc. Holly obviously will be returned to Skyler since Walter left her at the fire station with a note and stuff. Judging by next week's preview, Saul was on the phone with Walter, saying that ''if they don't have you, they're going after her''. This obviously means that Todd and the Aryan Brotherhood are pissed off that Walter left New Mexico, and they don't know where he went because obviously the only people who know are Saul and Walter. They probably figure that if they can't have Walter back to cook for them, they are going to attack Skyler and the kids to get Walter's attention. This is an obvious one, but I'm not quite sure if they will be killed, or if Walter will return to get revenge and save them. I don't think so the latter will be the case, because when Walter returns, he has a full head of hair and a beard, it seems as though some time has definitely passed. I guess the next episode could be a huge time jump, but I doubt that. Vince Gilligan said tonight on Talking Bad, ''on next week's episode, Walter gets a new pair of glasses''. Not very helpful (as pointed out by Dean Norris lol), but this will probably be when Walter changes his appearance, etc. Out of all the episode descriptions, the most interesting one of all to me, way before Blood Money ever aired, was the description for Granite State. It reads ''Events set in motion long ago move toward a conclusion. ''. Hmm. What events set in motion long ago? Hank and Gomez are dead. Walter lost most of his money (11 million seems like A LOT to us, but it's not a lot after Walter had 80 million at the start of the episode). Skyler and Walter Jr. both hate Walt, so he lost them so to speak. Jesse is severely beaten and probably almost to the point of death, and is being used as a slave (even tied up to a dog chain) to cook meth for Todd and them. I don't know what the description means, after all those loose ends were tied up in this last episode.

I guess what I am most interested in is how the White household gets abandoned and vandalized, as well as Jesse's fate. Skyler and the kids maybe move out (they obviously wouldn't wanna stay there for obvious reasons) and the house just becomes in the state that it's in. Or, the Aryan's may come after Skyler and the kids and kill them, which is probably the more likely scenario. I also want to know why Walter was arranging his bacon like Skyler used to do in the Season 5A intro. It may be the fact that he is alone without them, and he misses her. Or, it could be that she ends up killed as a result of Walter's actions, just like Hank, so he feels guilty, and we all know he picks up traits of people whom he has killed/feels responsible for killing. It's also weird that he was using Skyler's maiden name on his fake ID as well, especially if she was alive. At this point, I don't think Jesse will be killed off, I am thinking maybe Walter comes back to New Mexico with the M-60 to take out Todd and the Aryan's, and saves Jesse's life. I'm not sure, especially after Walt told Jesse to his face that he watched Jane die, it seems the bridge is even more burned now, which I didn't think was even possible. If these theories are true, the only remaining main characters alive will be Marie, Jesse, Walt and Saul. I think Saul and Marie will survive probably. Jesse MAY die, but I'm not sure. I think Walt will definitely die in the end. Still no clue who the ricin is for, maybe Lydia, when he comes back to take out Todd and the Aryan's.

One more thing, did anyone notice the Gus Fring references? I LOVED them. When Hank was shot, Walter fell to the ground and cried, it was shot the same exact way as when Gus watched his brother/partner get shot in Season 4. There was no way that was not done purposely. The other reference was when Walt told Skyler on the phone ''This is what comes of your actions'' or whatever he said. Gus told Hector ''This is what comes of blood for blood, Hector'', in almost the same voice as Walt. Pretty awesome. I think maybe in the end, Walt will come to seek revenge (as stated before), just like how Gus wanted to get revenge. Maybe Walt will even get blown up, probably not.

Best television show ever confirmed. That was the greatest 45 minutes of television that I've ever witnessed.

Maybe Walt purchased the M60 to save his name and his empire, rather than Jesse or anyone else for that matter?

The way they did the Jane thing was dumb. It was so short that it seemed like it was just a footnote added to the script for the sake of some fans. It could have been so much more impactful if they had Walt really tear into Jesse for about a minute. Telling him all the things he did for Jesse, how he let Jane die to pretty much save Jesse's life, saving him from Gus, the street dealers, protecting him from Tuco, etc. Then when Walt needs to do one thing to save his own life by poisoning Brock (because Jesse becomes so brainwashed by Gus), Jesse has a mental breakdown that eventually culminates in getting Hank and Gomez killed, getting 70 million of Walt's money stolen, and ripping Walt's family apart. A focus on how Walt has done so much for Jesse, and how Jesse has now ruined both of their lives. What Jesse has done to Walt this season is brutal and totally unjustified, and it was a perfect moment for Walt to take him to school. Doing the Jane thing cold turkey seemed hammy.

The only big problem I've had this season is characters acting out of character. Or what we assume is irrational. We see Hank instantly hate Walt as soon as he finds out he's Heisenberg. No discussion, no moments of self-conflict. Just flipped a switch and the character of Hank is now different. But that one is a little understandable because he knows what horrible things Heisenberg's done. But he still doesn't ask why or how or if Walt is really as bad as he seems on paper. Where is the love and consideration for family?

Marie and Jr. are the most puzzling. They basically hear Walt's a big drug dealer and they flip their switch to hate him immediately. Jr's reaction especially seemed weird. He's your dad that you love so much, but because you find out he's been lying about being a drug dealing you're going to disown him? Where is the love and consideration for family? How did these characters arrive at these conclusions?! It's not believable based on what we saw on screen.

The problem is that what we see doesn't make sense. We need to see their struggles with knowing who and what Walt is and the inner conflicts that arise from knowing the truth. Without seeing that it just makes them look like robots who are changing just because the script told them to. I mean, we have fucking Jesse who is struggling like a real human, but the family members seemingly haven't put any thought or meaning in to what Walt has put them through. They would most certainly want an explanation and to know why. They would be going nuts inside with questions. After we see some of their struggles then the writers can change their character and it will seem fluid. Even though I think what Jesse turned into was stupid, it made sense and seemed real because we've seen his struggles with the truth. With the others it seems out of left field and forced due to bad writing or time constraints.

This season Walt has been and still is the voice of morality. He was sticking with family no matter what. And they gave up on him in a heartbeat without any serious consideration as far as we saw.

If Jesse had just spoken to Walt about the poisoning, he would have understood why he had to do it. He'd find out that Walt used an amount that wasn't going to seriously harm Brock. Jesse would understand how tight of a spot Walt was really in. He'd understand that Walt was forced to manipulate him because there was nothing else to do. But Jesse didn't give his "family" a chance. Or he didn't care.

Hank and Marie could have spoken to Walt to try to understand things. They didn't even talk to each other about it as husband and wife. How it happened, why it happened, what they could do now that they know, etc. Instead there's none of that and they immediately hate him and are going to turn him in straight away. They didn't give family a chance. Or didn't really care.

I don't think this is how most families act. Regardless of what a family member does, the others are still curious what happened, what went wrong, or if it's really as bad as it seems. It's just what you do towards people you respect.

So while Walt took every chance possible this season to step back and asses their family, none of them did the same. Or they did and they just didn't care about family. Walt was ready to turn himself in to Hank, then was adamant about not killing Jesse, then was adamant about not killing Hank, then was ready to turn himself in again to Hank and Jesse, then was very adamant again that Hank not be killed. This whole season it's been Walt acting like a real person while the rest are either breaking horribly bad or are written pretty poorly. For all the hours they spent on Jesse emoting in this series, they could have spent a few minutes on each character this season to make it more believable. I don't get it.

But enough rambling. I still loved this episode and I'm glad we'll hopefully get some good old Heisenberg time these last few episodes since he's the only consistent main character left.

Walt telling Jesse about Jane isn't purely just something to rub in Jesse's face, it was a message: I've been in control of someone's fate, and I let them die instead of saving them, and that's what I'm going to do to you now. Walt could've bargained for Jesse's life and it'd probably have been more successful than his attempt with Hank, but he didn't. Now Jesse is Jack's meth-pooch. Almost a full circle around from the Krazy-8 days.

And we're past the stage of Walt and Jesse discussing why certain things had to happen. They've both sold each other out and I doubt they'd take each other seriously anyway.

After watching it again I'm fine with Flynn's reaction to the whole thing. Skyler and the knife duel was stupid though. In the first episode this season she wanted to do basically anything to keep Walt out of jail and to keep all the money, and she knew Hank was hardcore going after him, yet she is so shocked and disgusted that Hank ended up dead that she is ready to stab Walt over it? Even after Walt said he tried to save him? lol wut? Don't buy it. I guess I don't buy Flynn saying his dad attacked his mom with a knife either lol. Like wtf fight did he watch?

Edit: The intro makes more sense now too and really shows how clever the show can be. When Walt walks away from the RV and is reciting his lines that he's going to say to Sklyer on the phone, it mirrors what he also does at the end of the episode with Skyler on the phone. He had lines planned out to trick the cops this time instead of Skyler like in the intro. Xero21 mentioned this earlier. It was confusing at first, but when you see his tears and remember the intro, you can really see he's in agony over what he has to say to the family he loves. He knows Marie will be there. He knows his son will hear. I can't think of anything worse.

I thought both the Jane thing and Skyler attacking Walt were done perfectly! Jesse is already fucked... Walt telling him about Jane was just adding insult to the injury. It was perfect. And Skyler has always kind of straddled the line between being on Walt's side and having somewhat of a conscience. She never thought Walt would hurt family... no matter what Walt said about him not directly killing Hank didn't matter to her! He's already spoiled his reputation by constructing his web of lies over the course of the series.

I even thought Flynn's reaction to the situation was alright. He didn't overact... it was just the right amount that was needed. If they lingered on that any more that would be sacrificing airtime which they could rather use to develop the plot further.

Hank dead was the final straw for Skylar, and I loved it. If I can compare it to anything.. I'd almost say it's like Vader at the end of Return of the Jedi.

The one where he saw his mother stand up for the good of the family, while Walt represents the bad. He was angry with his father and was able to catch him in a spot and improvise successfully. Like father, like son there.

And italics for good ol' subjectivity.

What if instead of Walt going back for Jesse with that big ass gun, he's going back for his money instead? I think the show wants you to root for Walt one last time, making you believe he's going to save Jesse only to trick you and make you hate him more than ever before when it reveals his real reasons.

What sane person would believe anything Walt says at that point? He only admits things after lying about them first. Skyler isn't dumb. And, as was pointed out earlier, Hank being the one killed changed everything.

What I want to really know is how Mike didn't find Todd's uncle's gang to be of any concern, then they end of being the bad guy in this season. How wrong was Mike?!

Because she saw first hand how unwilling Walt was to kill anybody. SHE was willing to have Jesse killed. So yeah, she should be pretty trusting when he says he didn't kill Hank.

Jesse and Hank are NOT the same. Hank is family. To her Jesse is nothing more than a junkie who can get her family killed.

Because of all the lies Walt has said! It has gotten to a point where no matter Walt says, she will think twice to believe it. And given the gravity of the situation where he told he didn't kill Hank no one would believe him.

He could have just said Jesse killed Hank and that's how Walt got away.
