Computer Error Question

    My friend's computer is having a few issues right now. Everytime he turns it on or reboots or whatnot he get's the same error message: disk read error, please press control,alt, delete to reboot. Any clue on the direct problem of this? I have a few ideas but I would appreciate your thoughts or ideas to make sure I'm on the right path.

    one of your drivers has proly gone missing I believe...
    not 100% sure though, if you can take a picture of whats going on and post it on this thread then it'd be a bigger help...

    The hard drive is either disconnected, dead, or severely fucked in some other way.

    Is this before he boots into Windows? If so, check your BIOS settings to make sure the harddrive is even detected. Could be a master/slave issue too.

    Sounds like the hard drive is fucked to me.
