I would like to think so. For it to really push through I think it needs to be a theme song for something like the playoffs, that way tons of people will hear it.
I think it could. It has potential to become a big hit they just need to push it right and hopefully radio stations play it frequently.
LP just doesn't chart well at all nowadays, do they? Shit, the last time I ever heard them on the radio was when Burn It Down came out, that got played all day every day where I live but I have no clue whether or not it was successful. I'm pretty sure LITE and COG didn't do well at all though.
Really? I hear LP on the radio (rock stations) all the time, with the occasional In The End or Numb or some other hit playing on the pop station. On the U.S. iTunes... The Hunting Party - #8 (Top Albums) Until It's Gone - #40 (Top Singles) Guilty All The Same - #80 (Top Singles) The Hunting Party - #2 (Top Alternative Albums) being beat only by Coldplay's upcoming album Midnight Until It's Gone - #6 (Top Alternative Songs) Guilty All The Same - #13 (Top Alternative Songs)
Here in Germany CoG was very often to hear in the radio. It was succesfull i think. At least some guys on my school also liked that song (and they never listen to Bands like Linkin Park or genres like rock). UIG could be also succesfull i think, here in Germany the Single will come on May 30th.
Dont know, i also never heard the album version of UIG with the baby crying at the end. Just Germany, in much other european I-Tunes Stores the Song is avaible since it comes out.
Does Spotify differs in different country, because in Malaysia we can listen to that interlude version.
Guilty All the Same just hitting #1 on the Mainstream Rock charts will probably hurt the chances of Until It's Gone doing well right away. Radio isn't just going to stop playing GATS all of a sudden when it's doing as well as it is.
The last time I heard LP on the radio was What I've Done around the time Transformers came out and was a big thing.
Last time I heard LP on the radio was back in March of 2013, Lost In The Echo was playing on the radio inside of a sneaker store at the mall.
I heard Burn It Down 4 days ago on the radio. And it just played between that "Happy!!" song and other one very popular. And my thoughts about UIG: If GATS reached number 1 on Rock and 18 on Alternative, UIG will problably do great since it is 10x more radio friendly so my guess is Hot 40 and top 10 on both Alternative and Rock.
I had to check myself to believe it. This just proves Nebraska has terrible radio stations. We have two rock stations. One is more old school and the other is The River run by Iowa Western Community College. Again, our number 2 radio station is a college radio station! *sigh*
As long as it's constantly within the Top 40 iTunes within the next two weeks, it'll probably debut at around 70-90. Ever since Billboard revamped their Hot 100 to include Youtube views and streaming plays, LP hasn't charted high since. Back in 2012 when they only relied on sales and downloads, "Burn It Down" reached #30 and "LITE" #99.
