i have premonitions... usually when i have a lot in a couple of days something bads going to happen...
well i have quite a vivid imagination so my dreams tend to be pretty realistic but incredibly weird at the same time! I used to be really scared by some of the stuff i used to dream cos i used to like...see what i thought was prophets and angels etc but now i just accept my dreams as part of my wacky mind and brush off the bad dreams cos i believe they just mess with you're head. It's the good dreams i feel you should focus on
Most of the dreams I have are ones that I can't remember. If I ever do, they're usually gruesomely twisted or something of which I can't make sense. Something really weird that happens to me is sometimes my dreams will be like a book. When I'm asleep I'll actually be visualizing a blank page with words on it, reading the events that are described and occur in my dreams. On average I usually remember about one dream per month.
You know I almost never remembered my dreams until I moved last August...hmm...maybe it has something to do with how comfortable you are in your surroundings? That would make sense. The more comfortable you are, the easier you sleep....hmmmm.... [/b][/quote] There are certain things that are "dream killers". Yeah my dreams translate to real life. Meaning that if I'm pissed in my dream I wake up pissed. If my best friend makes me angry in a dream I'm angry at them in real life. Same thing with other emotions. It's weird. Sometimes I can't remember what I dreamed and what really happened that day.
My dreams are just flat out, weird. Sometimes I have these, odd goth-like dreams...I mean I had a dream one time where I was playing the piano in LP's 'Numb' video and Mike was sitting there watching me and there was like, this doll with these black eyes sitting on the piano and there were all these pins in it's head. That was creepy. I never seem to understand dreams like that. The majority of my dreams usually have one, more or all of the members of Linkin Park in them as well. I guess I'm more obsessed with them than I thought I was.
My dreams are usually dreams that'd make sense in real life and they usually have something to do with what's gonna happen in the future. But a part of them always have to do with whats on my mind when I go to bed or what happened to me that day. So my dreams are kind of a mixture of the future and the past. Like in my dream lst night I was hanging around with this person who I dont usually hang around with like I did yesterday and I was playing guitar and such and I was at school and it was kind of gloomy then during the day there was a lot of cloud cover and it wasn't the winter-y kind of clouds they were rain clouds.
I really don't think my dreams mean anything unless I am going to kill a lot of people or be killed a lot of times when I grow up.
I have dreams about my ex-boyfriend constantly.. I know it just means i'm lonley, but it feels real and sometimes I guess that dream just means I want things like that to feel real again. I want things to go back to the way they were. Those dreams are an image of the happiness I once had..
Yup! I can sooooooo relate to that! heh.. But I love dreams.. they're awesome.. but then again.. there's those dreams where you just wish you NEVER had. I don't about the rest of you.. but have you ever had a dream where you felt suffocated.. or immobile? ..and you try to wake up but you can't and you can't move.. but DAMN they feel real.. i don't know.. *Shiver* thinking about them gives me hella chills.. Okay.. maybe it's just me.. =_=
Last night I had a dream that I turned a tomato upsidedown and me turning it upsidedown killed someone .
same with me... i had a dream my grandmother died and the next day she died but i do believe dreams have meaning
Yeah...thats so funny! I had a similar dream involving someones death and food. There was an old guy dying and I only had one piece of chocolate left and no money and so I ate it and he died. I couldn't smell in that dream but I'm sure he smelt bad Does anyone else have that weird sensation when they dream, just before you wake up in a cold sweat, like the ground has fallen from underneath you...or like your falling? I do. :chemist:
I've had my share of good and bad dreams too. Some of them are the kind that make you want to stay asleep forever and others are just really horrible s##t. Some of the worst dreams I had involved people being killed and mained in really horrific ways. I don't know the reasoning behind it but I was so glad it was all a dream when I woke up. I've also dreamt of a field of yellow flowers outside my window (hardly possible because I live in a high rise apartment block) and oddly enough, a recurrent theme in my dreams is UFOs. I've dreamt about UFOs at least twice and it's always something that makes me think when I awake. The nicer ones are like when I find someone I love and yes, I have occasionally dreamt of sex. Then there are some dreams that wake me up (no pun intended) to my problems in real life, like this one time when I dreamt about failing my exams majorly. After that I worked really hard for them and I didn't fail after all.
That's just freaky. Sometimes my dreams do that, but not usually. I'm pretty sure the times my dreams predicted the future were coincidental since 95% of the time they're completely wrong.
Biologists say that dreams are just random firing of neurons and have no meaning at all. But in the psychodynamic approach Dreams are thought to be the inner most workings of the mind. Freud, a psychodynamic psychologist believed that dreams are workings of the unconscious and enable repressed desires pr memories to become known. He said that dreams are not accidental by products but important ways of coping with anxieties. He also said that dreams have manifest (how that person would describe the dream) which usually meaningless but also have latent content (dreams represented in symbols that have deeper meanings. But criticisms towards this are that it’s entirely subjective and cannot be proven wrong. But since humans go through consciousnesses, subjective experiences and emotions and have cognitive capabilities, this could be right. But this doesn’t explain why animals dream, but at the end of the day, believe what you want about dreams, I believe they have some type of meaning

I dream every night, everyone dreams every night . But most of the time i don't remember what i dreamed ...But if I do , they are so scary and they keep following me all day
I did that the other day too! My dreams don't mean anything. I hate waking up from my little sleep world.
My dreams make no sense at all most of the time and it usually jumps from one dream to another without a break so it gets all blurry at times. When they actually do make sense though, I can just sit there and think about them the whole day..or even for a week! Those are mainly ones that involve me being with the girl I like or even dreams that involving me going out with a girl I see at school but don't even know. It's like that Weezer song "Only In Dreams"
It happens to me sometimes and I simply hate it! After I feel lost :wth: I recently had a pretty weird dream: I was picking up butterfly beside rails while a man talked to me about the advantages of choosing chemistry for next year and we climbed up and down a train near us. :wth:
