...and we needed a separate thread for this why? I'm surprised two administrators posted here without saying anything considering there is an evanescence thread on this page and we've been discussing the single for a few days now.
An Evanescence thread named "The Open Tracklist" that has no obvious ties to the band unless you previously knew the album title. No wonder Hellflame overlooked it. Had the thread had a more easily recognizable title, this wouldn't of happened. And the whole "official band page" threads are getting numerous. But if you want to get your panties in a bunch over it, I'll merge and edit the topic title.
I agree with some of you. The song isn't anything spectacular in my opinion and it's not growing on me at all really. I hope the album can provide some better tracks that I can get into. I'm having a feeling that it won't offer me too much though.
Well, it seems kind of pointless to have multiple threads saying the same thing, doesn't it? Sorry to get my "panties" in a bunch. EDIT: or you know, we could have separate threads for everything so during this week we'd have a thread about the song being released, then a thread about the video, and this thread would still be here.
Just for future reference, I probably would have responded to you alot more courteously in the first place had you been less biting and not told us how to do our jobs. Don't think I didn't think of merging this in the first place. But with a vague title like yours which was originally about a specific topic (being the tracklisting), that will likely only attract the attention of anyone wanting to discuss the tracklisting had they not gone into the thread before. You see? Broader topic titles mean broader discussion possibilities. Especially when they have the band name in them. Of course, if going through the process of merging this is going to save me from being snapped at, then I'm more obliged to do it to save me the hassle.
It's not that bad, I also hope the rest of the album will be spectacular. I expected a better single from Evanescence however, oh well.
The single isn't that bad. It's just not Evanescence...at all. It's like they're trying to go pop to reach a wider audience. And I agree with Amanda about the giggle. The giggle at the end makes me wanna smack a bitch.
Hey guys, I don't know if you guys heard the first single already, but if you haven't, check it out: http://play.rbn.com/?url=windup/win...lips/theopendoor/cmwys_2min.rm&proto=dual I like the song--I think her voice sounds really good. But I hate the beginimng though. It sounds a bit too R&B-ish for the rest of the song. The more I listen to the song the more I like it, BUT the begining just ain't cuttin' it for me. Ehh... I hate it. haha
A little info on The Open Door and Artwork posted online You know, I'd fuck Amy Lee if I could, but I'm getting tired of her being the entire image of Evanescence. Sure she's a decent singer and pianist but she's not Evanescence on her own...and yet again its her on the cover of the album again, not any of the other band members, just her...

Cheap Tickets to a good show at a great venue.
I agree about Amy being on the cover. I'm not a big fan of band members being on covers in the first place, never mind when it's just one of them.
chance my bitch up, smack my bitch up!! sorry got carried away. prodigy - smack my bitch up yeah i wasnt a huge fan of the band but every member should be on because they help make it sound like it does and not just the women on her lonesome.
