West Ham signed Roy Carrol...that'll badly impact them

Just kidding,Carrol has his good days. [/b][/quote]
Tim Howard is a lot better, though. I can't believe Carroll seemed to get more games than him last year. Howard doesn't seem to make as many mistakes as Carroll (if any), he actually seems quite reliable.

Random fact: Tim Howard has Tourette's syndrome.

Exactly and because of that syndrome he's not as good as he used to be.

On friday it was Arsenal 1 Ajax 0

Today it was Arsenal 2 Porto 1 B)

Tim Howard started spectacularly, and now he's solid and reliable. He's still one of the best in the Prem.

Sometimes I hate Arsene Wenger,he said he isn't gonna sign Owen.We won today but the strike force was still poor,we need a striker and Owen should be that striker,if Man Utd get him I'll shoot Wenger

Who knows, maybe if he went to Birmingham he would do better with their superior creative players.

David Dunn. But I don't blame you for not remembering him seeing how often he gets injured. Seriously though, if he could actually keep fit he would be worth a place in the England squad.

It's probably more because of him having to compete with Hasselbaink and Viduka... but I think Middlesbrough should have got rid of Joseph Disire-Job instead.

my local team - Hartlepool United - got off to the worst start ever on saturday. they opened the season with a home game and a large crowd showed up practically filling Victoria Park. They were the hosts to Bradford City, another strong side in the league who only finished 6 points behind us last season.

expectations where running high and after only 8mins Dean Windass scored and put Bristol 0-1 ahead. after that Bristol packed the defence and where just sitting back and looking for half chances trying to get the break. Pools where playing them off the feild, playing a great game. it seemed as though if we where able to snatch a game we could go on and win the game.

the second half came and straight after Bristol broke free and shot home their sencond of the day. after that Pools never looked like getting back into the game.

on a side note - all of the new lads started and all of them looked impressive, esp. Proctor. he is the new lad up front who is going to partner Adam Boyd this season i'd imagine. he looked as though he was on fire... winning the ball anywhere in the park and supplying great balls to other members in the team and also having a few good pops at goal.

a bad start but iam sure we can overcome it. watch this space ^_^

I have a good feeling about Villa playing Bolton, but if they don't sign a striker (I would say Milan Baros or Matt Fryatt) we are doomed for the long term.

I still think Hartlepool will be around the playoff places in a year. Leeds too.
I think Tranmere will win their division and Wolves or Norwich will win the Championship.
