Step into this time machine back to 1999. There's Incubus material from before then, but many find that this is when they hit it big. [IMG]

Didn't notice until you made mention. ....And the worries start to settle in once more.

Well, Chester's comments are already getting people all worked up. I like Mike's hesitant nature more, it forces more mystery. Chester's like a loose cannon during every album cycle, and it NEVER turns out being what he explained.

Was it Chester or Mike who claimed Meteora would have elements of Pantera in it?

They are fucking brilliant! Morning View would be the best place to start imo.

Is it me or do a lot of the established bands of today stand in their prime circa 99'-2001?

Chester said during the making of MTM that he couldn't record for a few days because of all the screaming he did, he said it would be the heaviest LP material to date. MTM was the exact opposite. Chester said ATS was a ''mixture of HT and MTM'' once on twitter, and it was not at all. I believe Chester said Meteora sounded a bit like some Pantera stuff, and it didn't. Mike usually has more accurate descriptions, so I'm not going to get too excited about having screaming on this album. Although, Mike did confirm screaming a few times recently.

About MTM being the heaviest album, Chester probably said that when they were making QWERTY and Reading My Eyes (correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure Reading My Eyes was made between Meteora and MTM, not sure though)

Reading My Eyes was from the Xero days, they just decided to play it live with Chester.

No, reading my eyes were created before hybrid theory and before Chester joined the band.

I'm still excited for the album. It doesn't have to be boundary pushing or extravagant in the way that ATS was. They're going back to making those short, fun songs they've been known for. They're comfortable with their sound now so it looks like they're just having fun. Like Chester says here, they're writing stuff that would be fun to play. Shorter songs = more songs live. :awesome:

I don't really know any of their albums, but I heavily rotate a few of their songs on my playlist. "Drive" has always been a favourite, and EVERYONE knows it. Just a classic. Also "Wish You Were Here" is top notch. Other favourites of mine include "Are You In", "Love Hurts", "Black Heart Inertia" and "I Miss You".

From my recollection, QWERTY was whipped together literally moments before the band hit the stage in Japan back in 2006. There was no plan to include the track on MTM.

Well, that disproves my theory, haha. I still would trust Chester on this one, maybe with a small grain of salt, but still, because it is very late in production, and the album is probably gonna be done within the next few weeks. They are just doing mixing now, so he knows what all of the songs will sound like, for sure.
No more experimenting, and they are done with all of the songs. Basically, there is no room for change.
