excellent exciting news! what was the turn around time for MTM from entering the studio to release? and when did they enter last time?

 

They worked on Minutes to Midnight for some 18 months between early 2006 deep into 2007 if I'm not mistaken.

Entertainment Weekly has an interview with Chester where he talked about the VMAs and his solo album which will be released under Warner Bros next year before the new Linkin Park album is out, don't be surprised if his solo album will be called Chester Bennington instead of Dead By Sunrise.

LINKIN PARK singer trashes VMA awards, talk solo album


If you were disappointed by the number of rock acts at this year's Video Music Awards, CHESTER BENNINGTON feels your pain. The LINKIN PARK frontman recently complained about the show's lineup to Entertainment Weekly. Said Chester, quote, "Where were FOO FIGHTERS and NICKELBACK?" he asked. "Or even a band like THREE DAYS GRACE, who had a pretty big year? There was no VAMPIRE WEEKEND or DAUGHTRY. It was very one-sided."
The singer went on to use profanities to describe the show. And he pointed out that there were more seat fillers than celebrities in the main room, while invited guests were stuck out in the street.
Bennington also discussed his upcoming solo album, which will be released next year, before the next LINKIN PARK record. He's been working on it since 2005, and describes it as "very moody, very dark and melodic."

Not really news but a small interview with Chester and Joe.

 

Rolling Stone recently did an interview with Slash and he said he's made a wishlist of singers he wants for all of his songs. We know Chester and him are friends so maybe Chaz is on the wishlist.

This is why musicians shouldn't start their own record labels. It never works.

 

It seems like Mike really has no say in what goes on with his own label.
