I'll admit: I love this movie and I still get emotional when My Heart Will Go On plays on the radio, computer, whatever.
It's a cliche, but whenever Titanic is on TV and anyone in my house is watching it I just have to escape at all costs. I cried when I watched certain films but Titanic was so over-sentimental it's wrong.
It wasnt about the boat.. it was about the people ON the boat.. If you concerntrate on the main plot all you get is a boat sinking, and even watching 2 and a half hours of that would suck more... All disaster movies concerntrate on the people that are a part of it.. its what gives the movie substance... I dont know why im defending a movie i dont even like but i just think you made a silly point
I haven't seen it since I was 8 so I don't remember anything about it. I'll have to go watch it again soon.
we just saw it two nights ago. i think he cried more than i did. but then again, i've seen it literally a hundred times, and he hadn't seen it in 5 years. maybe that had something to do with it.
Titanic was a fine movie. The special effects were absolutely amazing, the storyline was alright. I agree about Jurassic Park, though. The dinosaurs in that movie look REAL. Look at the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park and then look at the dinosaurs in the new King Kong movie. Bleh...Jurassic Park looks better than that and it was made over 10 years ago.
I haven't sat down and watched the whole movie in years. I did see a part of it starting from when Jack tells Rose to get on the life boat, and she does then she jumps back on the ship. I watched it from then on. Its one of those movie's that you just have to catch it while its on TV. Otherwise its a good movie, I won't say its the best, but its good.
you know, for that movie, they actually built another titanic. so everything they did, they only had one shot to get it right. amazing the way they did it.
I just finished watching it and I was right about my prediction. It was the first time I've seen it in like 5 plus years. I thought it was very cute and I honestly teared up a couple times. Very cute at times! <3
I loved Titanic. My first chance to see boobies. Heh. But beside that, it was a very powerful movie. I always get a edgy feeling after I watch it, but I thought the acting and the effects were done very well and made it powerful.
My only problem with it was how Jack died. Why couldnt they have switched spots on the door every so often. That would have been smart I think.
I love titanic. Yeah, the love story is a bit tacky in places, but otherwise it's a really good movie. i've seen it 3 or 4 times (once on Video when i was about 7/8, then every christmas since i was about.. 13.) and i have to agree with Chris though. I loved it when he broke his back. even though that is a bit mean. I'm tempted to buy the special ed. just to see what the alternate ending is though.
I thought the movie would be cool at first but after seeing it in whole for the first time I thought it was one of the worst movies. Good special effects and such but the actual story line was lame and to have 2 and a half hours of it made it even worse.
The last time i saw it i was to small to discide wether or not it was a good movie I liked the dude falling from the top of the boat and then smaking on the bottom railing
