Or would you resist and wait for the official release date? I know when MTM leaked a few days early back in 2007, a couple of my friends downloaded it, and even offered me a copy/told me where I could download it from, but I turned it down and kindly asked them not to play it or discuss it while I was around It felt much more exciting and pleasing to wait for the release day and buy the cd first thing in the morning, rush home and listen to it. So thats what I'm gonna do this time around too if it leaks out early. What about you?
I think with a band like Linkin Park, i would wait patiently until i legally got it. It makes it more special when I am patient and wait for something i am truly excited about.
I wouldnt. I resited when MTM was leaked so I 'll do the same with ATS. It is important to me to hear the whole album on my Walkman CD player, its like a ritual.
I don't plan on downloading or listening to any ATS leak that comes up. I've pretty much decided that I'm going to wait 'til the release date to buy it and listen to it.
I'm going to wait. Nothing like picking up the album and playing it in the car on the way home. Love it! But... I know its going to be VERY hard. I have a feeling as we get closer to the release these boards are going to be insane...
No. I wouldn't as they said about MTM when it was leaked. Its so much different when in the correct order... though we know the listing... so we could listen to it. But I wouldn't Ill get my digital copy the second it comes out from the preorder.
Well, the way I see it, I dropped roughly $160 for the deluxe set and two t-shirts (one for me and one for a fellow LP fan friend of mine), so I would be perfectly justified to download it if it were to leak early. I mean, I've already purchased it. This is of course assuming it's above decent quality.
Nope. I want to hear it in perfect cd quality the day it comes out. I'm not listening to anything but the single.
I'm torn. I'll probably have to listen to it. On the other hand, I have one or two close friends whose taste in music I trust, so I might just make them listen to it for me (they're LP fans also) and have them give me an analysis.
it depends when the album would leak. If it leaks only a few days before the actual release, than i will not listen to it but if the album is leaked 2-4 weeks before the release date,...i would properly listen to it, becuz thats a long time, and with all the people, friends talking about it, it would be hard to avoid to get spoiled.
I don't open my cd's I just collect them so I end up only listening to downloaded versions of the music anyway. So to answer the question yes I would.
Of course I'll download it as soon as it leaks. Waiting another week or two to listen to it isn't magically going to make the music better.
