Lol. Do you work for info wars? If not there is a job waiting there for you. The video already has significantly more like then the GATS or UIG lyric videos. Why didn't the label buy more likes for them?
In that case Metallica with Lou Reed would have had a lot of likes even if James thought he was a table.
4.2 million views already, 3x as many likes as dislikes. Not bad for the most polarising song they've ever released. I doubt they'll be losing much sleep about it.
I'm not saying they do it every time. But why do you think Madonna goes viral every single time she releases a song? Everyone knows she's shit, but it still happens. Do you really think most people drop what they're doing when they see "new madonna track" The people saying this track got as much "hate" as Burn It Down should work for infowars.. I was there at release, the dislike bar never even came close to 15% of whatever. Guys just admit it, the majority of Linkin Park fans think this is a huge misfire.. and the band should be made aware of that. Putting out entire album of this stuff would be such a mistake.
imo terrible song very bland, boring and uninspired. I dont mind LP doing anything different and I supported them through changing from M2M, ATS, LT and THP. Im not a fanboy that just likes songs made from LP but for this to be your single and mike proudly saying that the rest of the album sounds just like this?. LP has always said they hated being put in a particular genre but that's no excuse to make mainstream music to please your labels or whatever your motive is. its not because the song is soft far from it and its not because they have a featured female singer... i dont know what they saw in this song but damn XD bit of a rant but LP have definitely lost their touch.
Madonna's shit for you. She's a legend for others. Beiber's Sorry has more than 2 Billion views. Is he any better than Madonna? Are they bought too? And please for god sake, LP is not a garage band that needs to buy likes.
Their motive was to make a pop orientated song, because they wanted to and currently like that sound. Why is that so hard to accept? They are perfectly entitled to make whatever type of music they like. Fans are perfectly entitled to not like it, but they are not entitled to tell them what to write.
about 1/3 of the people disliked the song it wasnt like that for the catalyst or any other single LP has ever made.
No other Single in the recent years has got so much advertising and radio play. Quite simple. And get your stats right. Out of the total 150k likes and 50k dislikes, the figure is 1/4th 3/4th like it. Just different ways to see things
So going by your maths the label bought 100k of fake likes. How much does that cost? Will the label be paying for fake sales to push up the chart position as well? Seems a lot of expense to go to.
of course they are and everything you said is true. Guess alot of people have been waiting a while for a new LP album and to receive this it seems like an empty box and its hard to except XD
Maybe. Sounds real unless someone has pro editing skills out there. Now atleast people will actually realise that its not programmed and poppy. Damn I'm digging that Drum Guitar outro more than before
That's fine, I get some people are disappointed and that's fair enough, people have different tastes. Just don't think it's right that some are accusing the band of lacking integrity/selling out or pandering to the label, just because they happen to not like the song. That's not fair on the guys, they don't deserve that from their own fans who they always make an effort to treat well.
Alright. I'll try make this my last negative input, but there is a last thing I wanted to say I've seen a few times the argument "What if you'd isten to this song without knowing it's Linkin Park? People would like it more!!!". But it also works the other way around. The only reason I'm listening to this IS because it's Linkin Park. If this had been released by any other random pop artist, I'd have no interest in it at all. /rant.
Some would, some wouldn't. I know some people who have said it's a good song, but isn't what they want/expect from Linkin Park. Some just don't like this type of music, whoever it's by. It definitely would have got a less negative reaction though. But it would probably have generated less publicity too.
