"plethora" or "serious issues" would be cool...

Lol advance warning. I think they ought to say that for every album no matter what it sounds like
I hope that means they've moved away from Generic Politically-Sounding Whining™ that plagued MTM and DBS and actually put teeth into these songs. When I hear a song like this I want them to argue a point and/or inspire action, not generic yelling at some established authority that wasn't named during the song. Or take the ATS route and show pictures of what the future could look like, keeping it nice and poetic at the same time.
Another think I noticed over the years is that the band's description of what the sound is at the beginning of the process is very different than what actually comes out at the end.

    +1

On second thought. I'm crossing my fingers for "Noises"

Ppl who aren't a fan of LP usually associate that word with them. It's very fitting

I think I've gotta so struck into the ATS trend that I'm scared this will sound too different. I hope they keep lyrics styles to like Burning In The Skies and Blackout, and make the songs structured outside of VCVCBVV.

I'm cautiously excited. I have no problem with a band tackling serious political issues, but as Chester has acknowledged there is a danger of being preachy or alienating, but more than that you can overdo it and it can become tired and boring.

Awesome news. Hopefully we will see this album early next year, but realistically I see it coming out around late 2012 or early to mid 2013.

Classic Linkin Park Build up "We're closer than we thought we would be" *1 year later* "It's almost done were just working out the kinks" *2 years later* "Rubin said we sounded bad we're redoing every song" *3 years later* "ok its done but now we're only releasing 30 second snippets and crazy puzzles!"

Well this is certainly a nice surprise to read. Interestingly, seems like Linkin Park's creativity seems to be flowing quite well at this point and "appears" to be making quality songs for themselves pretty fast. Their style and process in making music has certainly progressed and gotten a lot better since MTM and ATS. I love the sound of continuing on their new writing style. I love it! But I am quite shocked with the "less sounds" aspect. As always, LPs going in opposite directions with what we're expecting. No ATS 2.0???? haha, fine with me as long as its something new. I'm thinking it'll have the ATS electronics but not quite as outgoing with more basic instruments. Kinda like Isho Ni.

    This... please this .____.

I've always wanted them to experiment more with chord progressions, riffs, drum patterns etc. Maybe this'll be the one? I'm sure it'll be great either way.

Oh and this better not turn into a 2014 release..... -____-"

Yeah, I'm sure less sounds just means they've got the vocals and tune down, but not the essence of the songs.
