LIVING THINGS Track Times Revealed!

I am pretty disappointed with Victimized's length. Also, I was hoping Tinfoil would be a bit longer. Come on, LP. I want songs, not sound bites.

 

I could extend Victimized like I did with the live verse of Until It Breaks (Mashed it with Tinfoil when I extended it) and the live Tinfoil Dj extend. I mean, I'll extend not because I'm not in favour of the length, just playing with the potential it has when it's longer .

The album will be fine. Better than fine actually. I like the positive energy we've heard so far from LGM and BID.

 

Wow. The reactions in this thread are really something... I mean, okay, I was a detractor of the fact of short length too but really it doesn't matter if the songs are good. I'd take a 60 second amazing song over a rather bland boring song. Get the gist?

Okay so stop complaining. Jornada del Muerto and Fallout are short and I fuckin love them.

Shit band! Anyway, wow at you guys crying and moaning over the song lengths still. I LOVE LIES GREED MISERY, at thats only 2:27 mins long! Doesn't that PROVE that short songs can still fucking rock?!

 

At first glance, I was a little shocked to see such short track times. But then it dawned on me: there should be little to NO filler time in this album. Linkin Park is obviously making EVERY second count this time around. If BID and LGM are any indication, they are indeed following this idea. We all must know that A Thousand Suns had waaaaaaaayyy too much filler, even MtM is guilty of it in some cases.

Then I thought about my favourite song, In Pieces. It's 3:38 in length. Just as long as HALF the songs on this album. If those songs are just as rich in content, then I clearly don't have anything to worry about.

 

I was looking forward to Victimized too,I'm a bit shocked by its length, but yeah I'm still looking forward to it.
By the way, the album comes out on 26th and my birthday is on 25th! YAY
BID & LGM were fucking amazing, I bet the whole album will be so! Can't waaait!

VICTIMIZED IS GOING TO F*CK US IN THE FACE JUST LIKE LP DID WITH US IN THE BID PUZZLES.

 

I really like all the track times. I think LIES GREED MISERY could have been just a bit longer, but LP knows what they're doing, or at least I hope. I'm glad most of the tracks are over and around 3 minutes, and super excited for CASTLE OF GLASS and POWERLESS.

 

OSC is only 2:36 min long, too. And everyone knows how epic it is.

A positive that you can take out of VICTIMIZED being 1:45 is that it leaves little room for a conventional song structure, so that means it will be something I'm looking forward to on this album: heavy and different.

Seriously, what kind of structure is this song going to have? Its either gonna be a blitz of insanity for nearly 2 minutes or some crazy slow fast slow fast rapid fire.
