I don't hate Macklemore by any means compared to what the hip hop community does, but my only issue is his music is way tooooooooooooo safe. It's like pop rap PC'd for mothers who drive SUVs... That said, I respect him for what he is trying to do.
Fuck it, I'll be the first one to post about the new album. Well there's certainly a lot of forgettable songs on here, and even some just plain bad ones. But the ones that stuck out the most to me on the first listen were Light Tunnels, Kevin, St. Ides, and White Privilege II (while I don't certainly agree 100% with his messages in the song). White Privilege II still has heart behind it, and you cannot deny that Macklemore and Ryan Lewis really tugs at some heartstrings with not only the lyrics, but the instrumental (though imo it should have ended at 7:20).
I'm Fucking disappointed! I love Mack but this is.mostly un-relateable garbage and this.coming from a huge fan. 3/10 Ill go back to Geazy....
