'Minutes To Midnight' Leaks

Just because there is a lack of turntable use doesn't mean Joe is missing, he basically adds the whole background to "The Little Things Give You Away" and he has some interesting samples/scratch things on "In Pieces" just to name a few moments of Mr. Hahn.

One thing: why the hell is NIN's "Only" beat on "Shadow of the Day"

 

Biggest let down of 2007.

To me, they have a good idea, but they forced it. It seemed so ridgid and lacked flow. They're going in the right idea, they just need to adjust I guess.

 

Now when we have the good quality of no more sorrow...isn't it about Bush, or the US goverment? I know the band would never say what is it about really about and say something like "it's about a person that..bla bla" , but about who else it would be?

 

I suppose it could be about bush. But a more obvious song about bush is Hands Held High.

 

Exactly. There are some almost humorous lyrics in that song about him. "What did he say?!" haha. Mike's raps are always the best and he can find a way to make a good serious point in the mix of a somewhat funny fact sometimes, especially on this song.

 

Personally, I love the CD. It sends a message and it really shows that they have matured. Sure, it's not as hard as I'd have liked it to be but it's still fantastic.

 

Wow I've finally heard all of Bleed it Out and it sounds great.

It sucks that Mike only raps on two tracks . Mike's rapping was always one of my favorite parts of LP. It's still a great album tho.

I actually like the album alot more than i did before. I plan to buy it just to support LP BTW. At first i thought oh god what happened, but as i listened to it some more all the songs have grown on me. Like 5 of the songs i really like and the rest to me arent that bad. LP fans will either completely love it or hate it..people new to the band will probably enjoy it.

 

I have to agree as well. This album must have hidden sub-conscious messages

I'm really starting to get the hang of some of the softer, slower songs.

 

I've loved it from the first, and I've rarely stopped listening since I got it yesterday. I even slept with it playing.
I am completely content with the way that things are, hopefully they release a couple more hard songs via bonus tracks or Underground CDs, but I really couldn't ask for much more.
For me, this is simply an amazing album.
And as music in general, good music is good music. For those of you who don't like it, it may not be your taste, but you don't have the right to judge that it's crap, for everybody else.

You know what. I dont care what anyone else is saying.

THis cd is a lyrical masterpeice for LP.

So big deal if its not hard, thats not that point.

Ill admit, i went into this cd lookin for something rock out to, but once i got past that, and actually sat down and listened to the words....this is a GREAT cd.

I've read some posts, people say that Hands Held High is Fort-Minor and there's no place for Fort-Minor in the Linkin Parks album.
Oh please shut up, if you realy love LP just listen to the songs

Ratings of tracks i've heard.

Wake: 8/10 (Mr Hahn should had a spotlight on this)
Given Up 8.5/10 (You've probably heard it already)
Leave Out All The Rest 9.5/10 (very soft poppy song but with chester it works really well.
Bleed It Out 9/10 (Mike raps incredibly on this. By far his best rap for Linkin Park)
Shadow Of The Day 10/10 (a slow beatuful song, now i know that sounds gay but this song is incredible)
What I've Done 8.5/10 (prefer it over given up, the song gets really good at the end but it get slightly boring after a while)
No More Sorrow 9.5/10 (the heavy song, the riff is amazing but the screaming bit stops it from being a 10)
In Between 10/10 (I know a lot of people didnt like the 30 sec of this but the song really grows on you. Mike did really good. Chester does backing vocals. for most of the song. its a slow moody song)
