I just bought Danger Days: The true lives of the fabulous killjoys and The Black Parade and they are both two very well done albums. What do you think of them? I know they did project rev with lp a while back...

The first two albums aren't really that great with hindsight. The last two are decent enough.

If you like generic, bland rock radio music, sure.

To summarize, kids, MCR were a boring, bland, generic post-hardcore/emo band, then they wrote a catchy song a bunch of teens and MTV liked, then they became a boring, bland, generic rock radio band.

I loved the first 3 albums. Danger days I just can't get into. They just seem to be trying to have fun with it instead of taking it seriously. I tend to prefer music to be taken very seriously.

I like the first and the third album, the rest was pretty bland and generic.

Can somewhat agree with this, but their fanbase was always mostly teens/MTV regardless of whether they were "post-hardcore" or radio rock.

The first album was boring as fuck, never liked their third album either - at the time I probably said some shit at the time about how they were trying to be Queen, and I haven't heard the new one. Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge was GOLD though. Can't get the same feeling from it that I can from The Used S/T or Suicide Notes And Butterfly Kisses now though (unfortunately? fortunately?).

Anyway, I'm not eleven anymore, so I can safely admit to myself that they were pretty horrible.
