Cool.. Studio Update 4! Howdy folks, Chris here, checking in from Seattle WA. I came up here to visit my fresh new baby neices (my sister had them 2 months ago). Yes, they are twin girls, Fiona and Stella and they are quite possibly the cutest babies ever to walk.......well.....crawl.......oh, maybe "wiggle" on this earth. It's a big deal because my family is pretty small, no cousins or nothin'! My sister is the first sibling in our family to have babies so everyone is floored. Enough coo-ing, back to business! I also get to have dinner with our tour manager who lives up here. We miss all the guys in the crew as they really are family and have been with us for a long time. It's been a while since we've been on the road so we jump on any opportunity we get to hang out with them. That being said, record 4 is nearing completion. Almost everything is finished, Doug is singing volcals on a couple songs, possibly at this very moment. After that, all that is needed is mixing, mastering and marketing......the three Ms I suppose. We're hoping to have this record out to you this fall with tours preceding it. That's it for now, hang tight everyone, see you soon! Hooba-Chris
Their last album was bland as hellllllll. Hopefully this will satisfy longtime fans, and the casual listeners.
I loved their last CD. There was a lot of musical creativity going on. The song More Than A Memory has more awesome musical goodness in it than most full albums.
To say that this year has been an emotional roller coaster would be the understatement of all time. Writing, recording, writing more, recording more, the tragic and unexpected passing of our manager Stu Sobol, mass changes within our record label and so many other things just to name a few. Although things continue to happen I will attempt to fill you in on where we are now and things that will be upcoming: 1. The new Hoobastank album is NEARLY DONE! I'm talking 95% here people! 2. We are SO proud of what we've created and are equally excited for you guys to hear it. 3. Album artwork, concepts, titles and photo shoots are being scheduled. We'll keep you posted with news on those things. 4. Viral video treatments are also in the works for a song called MY TURN so keep your eyes and ears open! 5. We will be doing a taping for LiveNation at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles on September 29th. We're gonna break in their new hi-def cameras. We want as many Hooba fans who can attend to come hang out, get wild on camera and listen to us jam out some new tunes as well as some oldies. IT'S TOTALLY FREE PEOPLE! Dust off your infinities and get your asses to the "FREE SHOW". More info on this will be surfacing shortly. With all that has happened with us over the last year+, we are so excited to get back to what we love doing, playing music for our fans.
