Ok, my laptop freaked out. The charger broke the other day...really broke. then when I was truning it off the last time it went totally shaky and stuff. It was rather scary. And since I don't have a charger for it, I can't turn it back on. ...I needed a new one anyways because it wouldn't defrag or anything. :(

So, I need some ideas and maybe some finds on a new laptop that won't murder my bank account. Please, I would really appriciate some info becuase I really don't know much about what is good and what I would need.

hehe, thank you for any information. It is a great help. ^_^

apple powerbooks just upgraded and the prices are a little lower. I would go with that.

If you are a windows guy, go with a sony Vaio. those are really good and at a good price.

lol, yeah, that is what I was thinking. Only one part of it is broken, but I'm not sure if i can get a replacement for just that.
But the main problem with that is that my computer is very messed up. I can't defrag and I'm sure I have viruses and such. I'm not sure how much it can be helped and I already can't do too much on it. But since I have money problems, i'm not sure i'll be able to get a new one. *sigh*

Boot with a boot disc and reformat it. Then reinstall your OS. You've still got a perfectly good laptop there, just needs a new OS and charger
