Here is the link to stream the song. http://www.warnerreprise.com/qt-ref/distur...tricken_ref.mov It is out in radio in all stations currently, but it's going to digital stores on July 26th. Holy..., it is such a great song. Perfect combination of both previous records. There's even a guitar solo which is freakin' awesome. This record is going to be really good.
Much better than the "preview" they posted of it. It sounds much more like their first album, if you ask me, which is a good thing. They haven't really changed much in their sound, but I can't blame them. Edit: The guitar solo is pretty weak, though, IMO.
...You have got to be kidding me, the second half of the solo is freakin' awesome. Danny wasn't going for the kid of solo's to beat Van Halen and stuff. Just the classic metal solo feel, and I think he did just that.
It's a weak solo. Anyone who's been playing guitar for a week can play that, if you ask me. Yes, it sounds good, but it's nothing amazing. The thing is, you're a die-hard Disturbed fan -- it's not hard to tell from your posts. And I'm wondering how there are two "halves" of the solo, as it's so short.

The second part as in the fast part. Where anyone playing for a week cannot play. For a week? What are you smoking. [/b][/quote] "The fast part"? And, yes, anyone who just started playing guitar can hopefully play that. A week was a hyperbole, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone who just started playing guitar could play that -- it's not exactly a difficult solo. Do you even play guitar, or are you just defending Disturbed?
Yup. And Zimmer's Hole, Strapping Young Lad and Abhorrent. GWAR is fucking awesome. Also, even though I don't like Disturbed, this song seems pretty decent.
I like this song. The chorus is my favorite part (yes, I'm a sucker for the hook). The solo's...weak. I don't even play guitar very well, but I even know that it's too weak. Otherwise, looking forward to the new cd.
Do people always feel the need to bang on certain bands because they are whateverthefuck this "nu metal" thing is? I don't mind Disturbed too much, I liked The Sickness a hell of a lot more than Believe. I'm having problems listening to the whole song, seeing as I have dial-up, but from I've heard it's not too bad.
I could care less about what people think is "good metal", "new metal", "your grandma's metal" or whatever... I like what sounds good. I think this sounds decent, but we'll have to see about the entire album. I like a lot of bands that people would classify as "nu metal" and, quite frankly, I don't care what anyone else thinks. I think they're (the "nu metal" bands I like) better than most metal bands.
I've never understood the term "nu-metal". It seems people classify more popular, less heavier metal bands as "nu-metal". And then associate "nu-metal" with shitty music and unoriginality. It's stupid and ignorant. If a person doesn't like a band, fine, theres plenty of bands I don't like. But when a person categorizes a band and then say they don't like them because of the category, that's just dumb.
Song is good, and no amateur guitarist who just picked up his first guitar could learn that solo in a week. I know its not as complex as alot of solo's but you are crazy if you think that.
