I take it I'm the only one who thinks it's crap, then. They should have included a song combining elements of Pig Destroyer and Isis instead of In Between, then people would be moaning about it not being poppy enough.
Is it true that they have made this song in 8 years or something like that? Cause i saw it on the DVD that Chaz & Mike said that at the part when they recorded this song.
You sure you aren't mistaking No Roads Left for Breaking the Habit? I don't remember hearing anything about that.
I don't think so, 'cuz I do remember the band mentioned that one of M2M' songs was written years ago. It was actually an idea that they never took seriosly or accomplished and they kept that idea for future records and they used it in M2M. They mentioned in one of the LPTV episodes.. I'm dissapointed that they didn't include this song in the new record because In Between makes me puke, lol
I think its an amazing song, although a few little touches could have been added to the first half, some sampling from Joe maybe. It would have fit well between 'In Pieces' and 'The Little Thing Give You Away' in my opinion. Shame its not on the standard release.
I don't think No Roads Left should have been on the standard release. It's a good song and all but it still needs some work all over. The vocals have to be the best part of the song though.
I wouldn't say it's one of my favorite LP songs so far, but it's really good. I love the melody and the lyrics....and the fact that Mike sings in it.
I like this song. I like the lyrics, And i like mike's singing vocals. This song is just awesome, All in all. Well worth the listen, But probably not fitting on the album, It is a little different. I wonder if there are other demos where mike sings, It would be interesting to hear.
Technically, it was involved in the album writing process... it wasn't included for whatever reason. But, it was released as the b-side.
It's like we're used to him doing his rap routine. I had a hard time thinking that was really him at first.
*hopes that NRL will be a bonus track on "Given Up" single CD* Think about it, that will be better instead of being on LPU V7.0. If NRL isn't on there, then they'll be an extra space for another B-side for us to hear. Besides, we'd have overplayed it too much by the time V7.0 comes out (just like QWERTY). Anyone noticed the strings on NRL? I think they make the song even more powerful and epic.
on the dvd you can hear how the NRL strings are being recorded. as for LPU 7.0: this year it's time for a bad lpu cd again. it might even be all live again, the new songs and stuff. 3.0: shit 5.0: shit 7.0: ? 2.0: great 4.0: great 6.0: great
So today was the first time I heard this song... I'm really late, not to mention lame. I had never even heard of it Anyway.. I didn't know Mike had it in him. I love the song And for the record, In Between is kick-ass.
Yeah, I noticed that too with the LPU Cd's. The odd numbers have always just been live tracks. Hopefully LP will break this tradition with a CD full of B-sides, & studio songs. (even if its likely it'll never happen) Cause the re-realease of the HTEP was an 'odd' number and that was all studio tracks.
