Since Bleed it out premiered in Webster hall, we've heard so many awesome versions of the song played live, my favourite so far being live in Auburn, WA, 23 of July. I would say that version beats the orginal hands down, but going back to the webster hall one, why does Brad (& Mike as well) play the guitar so differently to what it sounds like in the studio??? Its like hes hitting the same note over & over instead of switching to different chords like on the studio version. Is it because of the type of guitar? or is he just being lazy?
They're playing the same notes as on the studio version, but without getting too technical about it, basically most of the guitar parts on the song are made up of 2-string chords. On the studio version, they pick back and forth between each string individually a lot more, but live they tend to just strum both strings at the same time.
Yeah, I had a feeling it was somthing like that. I still wish they played it like the studio version tho, sounded alot beter imo.
do you guys remmber what show that was from & where? Bleed it out with the great drum solo? I want to search around and try to get a rip of it
He's done it at I think every show since Phoenix, AZ on 9/1. There's video of it from Phoenix on Youtube.
i wanted to see rob pull off solos or at least fast rolls and fills on the album ... but, yeah, seeing it live is just as good.
