Is something special happening in the world today, or is everyone but me deciding to actually live their lives?

 

*raises eyebrow* I have a half day at school and I'm getting home at 11...but that's not very special, or world-wide.

Yeah, I'm just bored.
And how is getting out of school early not special worldwide? You get to have more time to spread awesomeness!

 

I haven't slept that well in a long time.

 

Urban Dictionary has a hilarious definition for Hot Topic.

Many teens shop there trying to be "different" and "unique" Unfortunately many people who shop there think spending $60 on a pair of pants at Hot Topic makes you "rebellious" and "unique" yet spending that much money on a pair of pants at Abercrombie, Hollister or any other "preppy" store makes you a "mindless conformist"

Their logic is also completely flawed in the fact that because Hot Topic's prices are somewhat low (well compared to many mall stores) and many teens have an urge to be "different" many teenagers shop there, thus making it the same "clone-wear" that people who wear "trendy" labels are classified as.

So basically what I'm trying to say is, wear what you think is cool and don't judge others on what they choose to wear. If you think your any more original (or better as some people think) wearing X brand instead of Y brand then your only fooling yourself and making yourself look arrogant.

I don't shop at Abercrombie, etc., because they don't have the kind of stuff I like. Granted, I can't afford most of the stuff at Hot Topic either, but I actually LIKE what they have there.

Also, The goth/poser equivelent to ambercrombie and fitch.
Even funnier: A store where psuedo-punks/goths go buy their identity. I mean, clothes. Watch out, those kids that shop at Hot Topic sure are rebellious, I mean, what can be more rebellious than feeding a multi-million dollar company by buying a crapy overpriced Good Charlotte shirt to look different like everyone else? Buying a GG Allen shirt from some run down, fishy looking store owned by some shady looking dude? Nah.

It's like everyone thinks wearing prep shit is better than going to Hot Topic or Spencer's and buying a wristband with spikes on it. Dafuck is with that? I don't care where you shop, just don't do it because everyone else is. THAT'S when you're a poser.

Sorry, I just had to do that.

 

It was horrible, just horrible.

 

The injections?

 

Yeah, I went this afternoon. I didn't feel nervous or anything because the one from yesterday went alright. But the moment she put it in, it was such a mean ugly pain you know? Plus, it has to go very slowly cause it's not exactly liquid, I thought it'd never end. Then when it finally came out I had to keep my hand for my mouth to keep me from vomiting and I got all sweaty and my whole face was white as snow. Just aagh, normal injections are alright, they don't hurt, but antibiotics are just mean.

Oh well, 4 more to go...yaay. =/

 

Hasn't the economy been shit for years, since BEFORE Bush was in office?

Actually, the economy was booming until about 2001.

Though I'd like to point out the fact that real Goth clothes can get pretty pricy as well....but that's likely because they're not mass produced coming from a big corporation. Also, as far as Tripp goes, all those chains and trim on the pants there add a bit of the cost. Not sure about the plain ones though.

Personally, I hate Hot Topic but it's the only store I really have access to that sells anything I even remotely like.

 

I thought it was getting bad before even Clinton was in office. We were a world power, and we got arrogant, spent what we didn't have. I mean, we spent a turdload of money on a PEN TO WRITE IN SPACE WITH. The Russians used a novel invention called the pencil. Also, 10,000 dollar hammers for the military.

And Marj, why do you feel like a pussy? I don't think anyone really likes getting poked in their ass with a needle, and having torturous substances injected into their body.

Ugh, this is the first time in years I've been so sick I absolutely couldn't go to school.
