It sounds like a bunch of suburban white kids trying to act thuggish and hood. I just DON'T GET IT.

It's just cringe worthy!

 

I can't be more pissed right now.. I am in the last phase of my preparation for the entrance examinations and won't be able to go to the STP show..Such is life!!!

 

MTM and LT are hard to listen to from start to finish...

 

I find MTM incredibly easy to listen all the way through. LT however, is a completely different story; all the songs on the first half all sound the same...

 

I disagree.

I've only found Enter Shikari albums to have that trait. They can become overwhelming.

I knew you would since it's your favorite album... I don't care about some songs (Wake, Shadow of The Day, In Between, TLTGYA), and I hate Hands Held High. So when I'm listening to it, I'm just waiting for those songs to end.

and half of LT is just boring...

Anyways, listening to albums from start to finish is how I digest music. Even if I don't like a song (although this is never really the case with LP), I won't mind it. It's just another piece of a record, maybe not a very good piece, but altogether it helps form what the album is. And if I didn't like what the album is, I wouldn't be listening to it.
Hence my mentioning of Enter Shikari wasn't to say I find the music boring or that I dislike it at times. Their music is just a whole bunch of everything – thumping electronics, guitars, screaming, not to mention all the social commentary on top of that – it makes it hard to swallow.

 

Yup.

 

They are funny and self aware of that fact! I know they are bad-ish(Like Limb Bizkit) but i still enjoy them for what they do. Funny/dumb party music.

Well i can see where you are coming from but they will grow on you. I don't find them that hard to listen to anymore(Especially Common dreads and AFFOC)
Now try listening to a Protest the Hero album from front to back and you will probaly have a really hard time haha

So this Random Thoughts thread is about 9months old... it may e the longest lasting... hope things pick up soon.
