Is not that bad, but i dont think that it deserves a spot in the setlist, the HTEP needs more love, specially Carousel & Part of me.. and what about this? do we really asked to get this song in the setlist? it was a really surprise when they began to play it, i never thought that it had a chance to be played... they have better stuff to fill that spot, or what not? do more cover songs, i always wanted LP to cover Stone Temple Pilots
Could Phoenix pull off DeLeo's bass lines? I like Reading My Eyes, just cos it's a fun song, doesn't mean it's bad. Look at it the same you you do BIO.
I saw this posted in the Got New thread. Definitely some interesting makes-no-sense lyrics there. Since he said the reason why they even play this song is because we wanted it, then they should show some love to some other songs they've never played. I don't know about anyone else, but I'd really love for them to play Fuse, Stick 'n Move, Carousel, and Part of Me.
hihi, here are the lyrics originally transcribed from the LPA. it's astonishing by the way. the first verse has many mistakes as the second is perfect. missed to change the first one, too? this post is no offense to the person who tried to transcribe them in the first place!!!: The Microphone Molesta' Machete undresser Stupid dope fresh tight shit resurrector Top gun yeah mon best of the besta' The living MC peace and resta' Successa, the flexa gunna' The make funna the advisary make runna' Make summa cold with rhymes that spit Kickin' gifted, lifted, deliquent 'wit I be the prophet, my hand Top it, stop it, felt like rockin when I rock it Locked it down with this perverse verse Every fuckin' curse I burst to hurt Move crowds physical fitness rhymes Coke heads couldn't do my lines Decorated like christmas pines, my batallion rocks MCs become sillohouettes of shock Chorus: Reading my eyes will say it in many ways Losing my pride will save it in many days Hit the dirt Because the words I spit will do more than just rip your shirt I'll bitch slap your soul Get back the track control You coming at me? You can't hack it though So ridiculous Watching my crew get sick with this Wickedness Pitchin this Lyrical viciousness To crews and cliques Maiden, men, and mistresses This is my life The twilight, the fight night And trying to see nothing but the highlights When I write These eyes on horizons Die for my son, cry wrongs and Krylon Fire on, rude men telekinetically Esoterically beats become a clarity Feel verities, heroism, and heresy And sever every MC I see with severity Chorus Why not What a keep (3x) Why not give me what I came to deserve Why not give me what I came to believe (2x)
This has nothing to do with anything that's been discussed so far in this thread, but can I just point out that you always use "irregardless" wrong, regardless lol of the situation? Just saying.
It's actually not even a real word. "Regardless" is already negative, so adding the negative prefix -ir just makes the word positive. Edit: I'd like to point out I'm not really being serious here. I just figured I'd lighten up the thread a bit, since it's usually me wrecking threads with pointless debates about things. So don't take offense, Derek.
mike's lyrics from reading my eyes has got to be some of the sickest rhymes he's ever done, not because of what he says but how he says it. it's crazy. not to many rappers could rap that verse in a take, let alone perform it live.
I know it's not standard English, I just thought that, despite the word suggesting a double-negative, it meant the same as regardless. Oh well, haha.
WTF Since my 'vocabulary' is being scrutinized at the moment (LMFAO), I need to clarify that "irregardless", much like "couldn't" (also not a real world) or "for cheap/on the cheap" are all localized to my region of Pennsylvania, and are part of the local Berks County slang which makes this place so truly hilarious. For instance, some people in Lancaster or the Pennsylvania Dutch area will pronounce water as "wuhter" or ass as "ace", and in Berks we'll even say "you guys's" ("U Guises") or "You'z" to refer to a group of people. I'm totally aware of how grammatically incorrect it is, and it is absolutely embarrassing to catch myself saying it out of habit, but because of the fact I've grown up around it, I can't help but say it from time to time. So yeah, come to the Lancaster/Berks County area for a day Will and I guarantee you that your head will spin with our frequent bastardization of the English language. It's really quite a sight to behold. OH and just for shits and giggles: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irregardless
Every time I read the title of this thread the chorus of the song plays in my mind, only with "lyrics" instead of "eyes"
