As many of you already know, famous actor and comedian Robin Williams died yesterday, August 11, in the morning, saddening people across the world. From Wikipedia:

All we can do is focus on his legacy rather than his death per se. What will you remember Robin Williams for? What is your favorite film of his?

I haven't been this sad for a death since Roger Ebert.

    I am heartbroken.
He has always been such an inspiration to me - I never really thought about him that way but he is.
He seemed like such a genuine good person. This truly shows that even behind the biggest smile a man can still bear the biggest burden.

I grew up loving him in movies like Hook, Jumanji, Aladdin and Flobber, and his performance in Dead Poets Society was one of the factors I continued my path studying Litterateur. Good Will Hunting is also a favorite of mine.
God(if he exists) bless his soul.

This is the first celebrity death to actually hit me hard. I'll really miss him.

This death is particularly tough, largely because so many of us grew up with his movies. For me, it's weird to think that he was already in his forties when I was born - and yet he was still doing so many things. I sincerely loved a lot of what he did, and there really are only a handful of people in the world with the sort of talent that he had.

“Heard joke once: Man goes to doctor. Says he's depressed. Says life seems harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world where what lies ahead is vague and uncertain. Doctor says, "Treatment is simple. Great clown Pagliacci is in town tonight. Go and see him. That should pick you up." Man bursts into tears. Says, "But doctor...I am Pagliacci.”

He wasn't just an actor and a comedian. He was also a nanny, a genie, a robot, an alien, a president, a time traveler, a full grown Peter Pan, a scientist, a gamer (hence the Zelda commerical he was on), a improviser, a husband, and a father. RIP Rob and thanks for all the laughs.

A tribute to one of the best.

Yep, same here. In particular, Jumanji was such a big thing in my childhood, I've watched it so many times.

This sucks man. What I really find sad is... It's painfull to imagine that that funny man which provided us all those cool memories with his movies decided to take out his own life. What is painfull is that feeling of magic beeng catched back by the harsh reality.

    Rest in peace, artist!

    R.I.P. So sad :(

Yep I agree, all the movies he has been part of gifted me with so many great moments!
I still remember when we watched "Dead Poet's Society" in English class.
I also remember the first time I watched Jumanji as a kid together with my cousins. Great memories!

It's very sad to see one of my favorite entertainers take his own life, especially when you grow up watching and looking up to him to bring you laughs for decades. To learn that he was suffering from depression and from what we learned this morning Parkinson's, I never saw it coming.

RIP Robin, you will be missed.
