At least it's not like on Reddit where people are complaining that whatshisname might be the "main" character and they're complaining because he's black.
Where are you reading that on Reddit? I've been spending most of my time lately on /r/starwars and haven't seen anything of the sort.
If Luke went to the dark side, the only way the movie can be good is if they explore why the Jedi are actually evil. Otherwise it will be cliche to the extreme with no depth at all. Though the way the past movies have portrayed the Jedi and Sith it would probably confuse most viewers if they decided to do anything other than the cliche good=light and evil=dark.
The bad guy in the left is Captain Phasma, played by Gwendolyn Christie. The guy in the right is Kylo Ren. Stop speculating guys. I'm expecting Luke to at least show up in an epic scene sometime later in the movie. Otherwise he's not second-billed in the movie. Speaking of that, I'm curious to see why Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher are billed first before Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley and John Boyega. Finn and Rey seem to be the protagonists of the movie, while Han and Leia seem to be taking supporting roles.
On r/StarWars. Last night I saw a dozen threads at least. One of which I'm still arguing with the guy. They're billed first because they're the biggest names in the movie and when people see their names on the posters they'll be more inclined to go see the movie (not that people aren't already planning on seeing the movie six times in one day for a week straight). Having top-billing doesn't always mean you've got a big role in a movie. We actually discussed this in the Marvel thread before Age of Ultron came out because we were trying to figure out how it worked.
Wow, no that's Kylo Ren. Rewatch that trailer again. The screencap is from the zoom in on Starkiller Base WHILE Kylo is speaking. It zooms in on him then it cuts to his mask.
As it turns out, the trailer music wasn't composed by John Williams, which was what I thought when the trailer first released, it didn't sound like his style at all. It was made specifically for the trailer. http://www.slashfilm.com/star-wars-the-force-awakens-trailer-music/
All right. It's just something I noticed again. Sorry, my mistake. It's just that I thought it was Phasma due to the Stormtrooper-like helmet.

You know, I often forget, its quite funny, but Harrison Ford went to my highschool (As did Hilary Clinton and some lesser known actors/politicians). They recently moved up their pictures to the 3rd floor of the building. Its often talked about how much he disliked High School. Just a silly fact
