Whatever you posted is not working.

Thank you for gazing into your crystal ball there, Nostradamus. ;)

That was the point of Mike's blog about speaking up about things you like since negativity spreads like a fart through a wind tunnel. Luckily, I've brought my respirator.

I thought the same thing when I woke up and read through this thread.

Maybe there are some valid arguments in this thread. Maybe it's all bullshit speculation. None of us know for sure what went through the band's mind when Living Things was conceptualized and crafted. Do I agree with most of what's been said here? No. Although, if the band really is just going through the motions, I would rather see them stop than continue doing something their hearts aren't in.

However, I don't think that's the case. I just watched the LPU Summit from a few days ago, and during the Q&A part, they all seem so relaxed with what they're doing, and all really close with each other. I feel like they still enjoy what they do. Look at the LPTV's they've put out recently. The one where they're all singing "we wish you a merry Christmas" together comes to mind, they just always seem happy around each other. During the "Inside Living Things" documentary, you can literally see the excitement in a few scenes. Mike was practically jumping out of his seat when the chorus for Burn It Down meshed well with his rapping verse, and he seemed genuinely pleased with Chester's screams in Victimized.

I'll always appreciate the things they put effort into, and I'm not going to just turn around and backhand the band that's meant the most to me based on PURE speculation.

I don't care about how long will LP be active. I'm just curious about what might have happened when LP leaves WB, joins another label that guarantees artistic freedom or just be part of an indie label. I just wish that they didn't have to raise money on Kickstarter to get the funding to do an album.
Regarding Living Things, while I quite like that one especially the second half of it, it feels rushed. I can't tell what makes it rushed, but it just too raw for Linkin Park. Same thing goes to Serj Tankian's Hirakiri. Honestly, WB has destroyed quite some artists IMO and I hope LP isn't their next one. I'm actually pretty excited by the fact that they are involving more music genres in their musical creations, reggae folk country and all those crazy stuff that I can't have imagined hearing from them. I still believe in them.

All my opinions regarding WB is my personal point of view and has nothing to do with LPAssociation or its administrators.

Any idea when they will be done with WB? Because I think only then will we figure out how into it they are. Only when they can make anything they want to will we really know what they want to do.

That is absolute bullshit. There is no justifiable reason as to why they'd purposely limit whatever music try to write.

    Typical. You guys are nutty.

Clearly, LIVING THINGS is one of the major steps in fulfilling their claim to push out more music a lot faster. The album is a mesh of their former music and an awesome 'thank you' letter to the fans. That's all.

    Yeah. No.

Before our site issues and the wipe last night, this thread got way out of hand and was closed. So I'm closing it again before that happens again.
