Gotta revive this thread. This is a tiny, tiny picture of the International Space Station transiting the full moon.
So awesome! And the ISS is not so far from the Earth. It orbits at an altitude of about 400 km, while the Moon is from 360 000 km to 400 000 km away. I think if the station was 5 000 km or more away, we wouldn't be able to see shit. That picture gives you the idea, "wow, they're way up there", when in reality they're no closer to the moon than us.
