I love Metallica and when I listen to a Metallica album in full, I always feel "exhausted" at the end. But in a good way, it's like the intensity of the music punched you in the face. And that's exactly how it's supposed to me. I hope Chester meant that kind of feeling, it would suck if the album suffered from being "too loud".
Damn, i'm dying for some more news and some new music from The Hunting Party. Hopefully we'll get some soon.
I find it rather appropriate that I am sitting in the same library I havent been in since the day I discovered this website and joined LPU 1.0 Bring me more hype LP!!!
I like the way GATS is done so that's one in the bag for me. I think it was really about the sort of songs that Chester talked about but we'll have to wait and see. In the category 'that escalated quickly' people could try some "WALKING IN THE RAIN" (The Ronettes, 1964) Talking about walls of sound haha..after some Phil Spektor everything appears well mixed.
Guys, this video is important. I have the feeling, that the album cycle has finally started. Something BIG is coming!
What kind of weird distinction do you guys have for an album cycle beginning? We already got a lead single, interviews, videos. Why now? It started the day GATS was released.
This is it. This is their comeback album. Aside from "Until It's Gone", this is the heavy LP album we needed. Judging from the previews, little to no electronic sounds and 3/5 songs that we know of have Mike rap verses. And unlike LT, this album seems to have some meaning behind it, and isn't just some quick fire-cracker album like Mike called LT. They seem to be really trying this time. This is what LT should have been. The Hybrid Theory/Meteora days are back. I'm just joking guys, don't kill me. I'm not one of those type of fans, I'm just parodying them.
http://www.harddriveradio.com/dirt/monday-apr-07 ''He played 5 of the 12 songs that will be on The Hunting Party album, now with a TBA release date later this summer.'' Also has been said in numerous other interviews. 12 makes sense anyways, HT has 12, MTM has 12, LT has 12, etc. Meteora basically has 12 songs but it's a 13 track album because of Foreword. Ew.
It's not that, it's just a video to promote the new single/album. It didn't need to be super spectacular or anything.
