I don't know what a source sound is, but does TLBTB sound anything like a "sound source"? Seriously, because I don't know what it is. Apparently, Trent has released sound sources before too. He did it before the release of "The Fragile".
I like how Trent isn't mad that it was leaked, just that it was a crappy quality version. "The last way I would want you to hear the first new music from me is a shitty quality rip from a shitty quality radio station." So what about a great rip from a great radio station...? But great jb for speaking on the leak... And the ruining of Million Dollar Baby is great.
I could say why not Nashville or Memphis, but I've already asked my mom if I could go to Atlanta to see either The Mars Volta or Nine Inch Nails if they go to Atlanta. That was like, 3 months ago too.
Is the All-State an arena by any chance? Perhaps I forgot to mention this. Those dates are the 'NIN US Club Tour" dates.
Is the All-State an arena by any chance? Perhaps I forgot to mention this. Those dates are the 'NIN US Club Tour" dates. [/b][/quote] Yeah, it's an arena. It the most popular arena in Illinois. Plus, it's ten minutes away from my house. That's explains everything. That's why I have no idea where the Congress Theatre is.
"Getting Smaller" has leaked. <s>I'm not touching it.</s> If another track leaks, I'm not getting it. 2 high quality songs, and one shitty radio rip is enough to hold me off until May. Actually, it's more than enough.
I got a decent quality version of The Hand That Feeds awhile back. Still have it too. It's better than the radio rip, atleast. Sounds kind of...hi-fi, but yeah. Not CD quality, but you can hear some things that you couldn't in the radio rip.
Oh ok. See, I always download the first single from everyone just to see what the hell the new album is going to be like
To be fair, the first single hasn't even hit the radiowaves/tv stations yet. March 11th or something, I forgot. It's in the first page of this thread somewhere.
From The NIN Hotline: 02:05 The lovely folk at nin.ru recently received a release sheet from Universal Music which confirms the scheduled international release date for The Hand That Feeds as being April 11th. This has not been confirmed on nin.com as this goes to press.
I heard it the night it leaked. It's okay I guess. These new songs (minus The Line Begins To Blur) are going to take awhile to grow on me, since it's very different from "The Fragile". I guess this is how people felt when songs from "The Fragile" leaked. You know, since it's vastly different from "The Downward Spiral".
Actually I think TF and TDS have more in common with WT. TF and TDS had a common thread in the layering of the sound, though the TF was "softer" in a way on a lot of the songs while TDS was 99% gritty except A Warm Place. With Teeth is a big change. Very stripped down. Getting Smaller is a guitar, drums, bass vocals, and a synth. Very "weird" for NIN who are used to seeing (from screenshots) 40+ tracks in one song, easily. I still like it. Lyrically Trent is making a lot of fans scratch their heads.
Don't forget musically either. A lot of fans were shocked when they heard "The Hand That Feeds". When I first heard it, I thought it was a throwback to his PHM days. Also, the drums at the beginning of Getting Smaller remind me of a band. I can't think if it's Nirvana or The Foo Fighters, but yeah. Very different NIN, for me atleast, since I basically "grew up" on NIN during "The Fragile" era, which was just a beautiful album. Anyways, I'm looking forward to the album come May. I can't wait to hear some reviews of the live shows in the coming weeks, since they're bound to play some new songs. 2005 is proving to be an exciting year for music. New NIN, just picked up my Mars Volta CD today, possibly new Error...fuckin' a.
