Music in the end credits is awesome. Overall, a fucking random ass music video which doesn't make any sense. Favorite shots include the canine, the lion, all the zebras and McKayla Maroney.
How do you know this? -- Uploaded the track to YouTube, labelled as BIRTH for now. Curse you UMG. Didn't take them long. They labelled at as Birth on the notice though, so I guess that's that confirmed.
Sneaky bastard I would have thought the music that opened the video would've been "Birth", though. Mars' albums usually open with something amazingly epic, like the electronic riff in the beginning of "Attack" and the drums in "Escape". The big jabs sound like something you would put at the beginning of the album. Or maybe the intro AND the outro are the same song... :/
?? is that from something in literature or was it some hidden thing FOR the video? also, if anyone knows morris code, did the recorder spell out anything in the middle of the video?
I noticed that when I watched it the first time too. Interesting. Now to find out what the hell it means! Edit: Apparently this isn't the first time Thirty Seconds to Mars has told us to do such a thing (Hurricane, A Beautiful Lie booklet). It means "Hidden Giant" in Latin. -- BIRTH (fuck yes Tony!) I will save / you from yourself time will change / everything about this hell Are you lost? / can't find yourself you're north of Heaven / maybe somewhere west of Hell
It's Morse code. I doubt the recorder was spelling morse code at all, but if it is, it's spelling out a number sequence - "6-2-7-7" EDIT: SHIT how could I be so dumb? 6277 is actually MARS on a telephone, as we've already learnt during the A Beautiful Lie era. Room 6277 anyone? So many secrets in this video!
bro, don't talk down to me like i'm a child, we ALL know it's Morris code named after the creator: but seriously, thanks for the correction, had a brain fart and see, I knew it spelled something!
Things i've spotted so far - - The recorder, which halts the song before the final chorus plays a Morse Code sequence before it rewinds. It spells out "6-2-7-7". 6277 is MARS on a standard telephone. It is also a reference to the famous Room 6277 from the video for "The Kill". "Enjoy Your Stay And Please Stay Out Of Room 6277" - "Amor", "CTPACTb", "信仰" and "Rêves", which appear before the final chorus, are simply the words of the album title Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams in different languages. In order, Spanish, Russian, Japanese and French. - The Butterfly, Snake, Dog, wolf or whatever that black thing is (I don't know, i'm not an expert in zoology!), and the Zebra can now be assumed as Mars' fauna allusions to Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams in that order. - By that, it can also be assumed that the Mars Triad is now an allusion to Dreams, considering the references to the Triad and Dreams, most notably the tablet the woman takes at the start of the video bearing the triad in allusion to Dreams. - The burning Heart, Serpent, Pentagram and Mars Triad seen throughout the video could also be alluding to Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams in that exact order aswell. - The rotating hoop represents the Ouroboros, which considering the relation to the snake, could be representing Lust. - The tall rider with the native hat from the "Kings and Queens" music video, The Ride, which was also directed by Bartholomew Cubbins, makes a cameo appearance. You can spot him during the final chorus and at the very end of the credits. In The Ride he's pretty much the most notable rider in the entire video. - The Sock Puppet, one of three people Shannon dealt with handcuffed to a park bench in the "Hurricane" video also makes a cameo. Also a video directed by Cubbins. God, this video is almost getting more complex than the "Hurricane" video! And that's saying alot!
