I believe it was the movie "Little Nicky". OSC was playing at some point in the movie, I did a little research, and voila! I got into the band!

To cut a long story short: it was a friend of mine who kept playing In The End when it was released.

The advert for the release of Hybrid Theory was the best in the UK.

*Cue Zane Lowe's voice* "Find out why Linkin Park are America's hottest new band, Linkin Park, Hybrid Theory... in stores now!"

    Ah, memories.

I remember downloading One Step Closer the late summer 2000, was the single best song I had ever heard. Went on to download Points of Authority and With You. Bought the album day after christmas. Best CD I have ever owned.

First was One Step Closer, then Crawling, and then In The End just made me completely obsessed with them!

And of course, by listening to their album, I realised how awesome their whole album was ;) I loved In The End for a LONG time, but then it became like really popular here and that was when I got over it a little and had to start listening to the other songs on the CD :p

Eventually it just became an obsession with wanting more of their songs!

I loved In the End and Crawling when they were out, but I was only a fifth or sixth grader who had no idea music rocked so much in general. When I went to the beach last year with my friend, she played Meteora nonstop, and I was like, Whoaaa good music. So I copied that CD and listened to it a bit, then March 3rd, they had a concert in our city. So she took me to it, and I LOVED IT TO PIECES and so I've loved them ever since. I have all their cds (except an original HTEP and LiT but only because the Rock Am Ring concert is 10x better). I bought Hybrid Theory right after the concert and a poster for my wall. Yay!

    I LOVE LP!!!

when I was in year 5 or 5th grade if you're American I heard 'Somewhere I belong' and totally fell in love with it. So, i decided to hear more of Linkin Park's music.
