Lol, I'm heading home right now. I think I know what the problem is. I've just gotta get home, re-encode the file, then it'll be ready. Won't be too much longer. ^_^

Even though the source file came from a cassette tape, the FLAC is still a little clearer than the MP3. But they're extremely similar.

FLAC stands for Free Losseless Audio Codec. Apart from perhaps listening to music on Vinyl, Its the near absolute highest quality you can listen to regarding audio. Listening to it on a DVD is also of a very high quality. Its pretty much the best quality you can obtain digitally of Audio. It basically isnt compressed. Hence Free... Sorta.
MP3 is a compressed Audio format. Compression often lessens the Quality of the Audio. Granted you might not hear the differences on a casual listen, if you really take the time to sit down in a quite room, you can really tell how much cleaner and crisper FLAC files sound compared to MP3.

Look at it as HD to Standard Def if you will.

Hm... Maybe one more new song before the official release? When do you guys want it? Since I'm making this for you guys, I'll let you pick when you want another song. (I get to pick the song, though ;)) just lemme know a day/date.

All of those dates are cool with me. Anyone else have a preference? Remember: this will be the last one before January third, so choose wisely.

Thinking about it, the 20th would be the best. It's in between now and the release (not exactly, but approximately).

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. And the 20th would also be a Tuesday, which is when most new music is released. So I guess that'll work perfectly. The 20th it is. :D
